Tracey Takes On... is a sketch comedy series starring comedienne Tracey Ullman. The show ran for four seasons on HBO and was commissioned after the success of the 1993 comedy special "Tracey Ullman Takes on New York." Each episode focuses on specific subject in which Ullman and her cast characters comment on or experience through a series of sketches and monologues.

Takamine Hana is a super ace employee at a traditional confectionary company. Despite her elite look and high performance, Hana only has love skills of a fifth grader. Hana has recently fell in love with Yowaki Tsuyoshi, a young employee who always gets scolded. Can Hana make Tsuyoshi like her back? Will a love bloom between the two?

When an emperor accidentally switches bodies with his empress, the two must deal with the awkward fallouts as they learn to accept each other.

There are three of the Minami sisters: Haruka, Kana and Chiaki, who have an average life. The girls only have each other to depend on and help each other get through everything from love confessions to cooking.

Russell Simmons' name is in the title -- he's an executive producer -- but it's JB Smoove who is front and center as host of this stand-up showcase, which features a roster of rising comics and veteran stars doing their thing. Smoove gets into the act as well with new material, and JB also gives viewers an added bonus by performing in pre-taped sketches woven into each episode.
