Nick de Grunwald, Managing Director of 1515 Productions, is the son and nephew of renowned UK movie producers Dimitri and Anatole de Grunwald, who produced such films as The Millionairess, The Yellow Rolls Royce, The V.I.P.s, The Winslow Boy, The Way to The Stars and The Demi-Paradise. 1515 Productions(formerly Isis Productions) is a company which specialises in high quality music films. The first music film Nick produced was the award-winning 'The Making of Sgt Pepper' about The Beatles' iconic album. Subsequently he created Classic Albums, which is widely regarded as one of the greatest music documentary series of all time. Now entering production of its sixth series, Classic Albums has included films on albums by Pink Floyd, Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Paul Simon, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, U2, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Lou Reed, Sex Pistols, Steely Dan, Nirvana, Queen, Cream, Frank Zappa, John Lennon, The Doors, and Jay-Z. Nick has put together other productions, often involving major television stations in America and around the world, and worldwide distribution companies: these include PBS, NHK, ZDF, Arte, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Sky, Universal, Warner Music Vision, Eagle Rock and EMI. His productions include: Yusuf, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens; Soul Survivor - The James Brown Story; Ray Davies - The World From My Window; Barry White - Let The Music Play; Pet Shop Boys - A Life in Pop; More Than This -The Roxy Music Story; Go - A film about Moby; The Life & Death of Marvin Gaye; All I Want - A Portrait of Rufus Wainwright; Juanes - A Musical Journey; System Of A Down - Screamers; Bryan Ferry - Dylanesque Live and Tom's Midnight Garden - children's feature film, Co-producer.
