Born and raised in Taiwan, Rou Wang came to the United States with her family in 2009. She began her filmmaking journey as an editor in school. Wang’s work often inspects and challenges the definition of sanities under a coated cultural lens, borrowing from and exposing both East Asian and Western culture to consolidate and shape into her own voice.
