Biography
Love Nafi (Nofisat Almaroof, MD) is a Nigerian-American filmmaker, writer, and creative force who channels bold Afro-millennial narratives into work that uplifts, disrupts, and heals. A former family medicine physician and Army Major, she now leads Love Nafi Productions, where she writes, directs, and produces socially resonant stories exploring identity, unapologetic transformation, and love. Her indie catalog includes three original docuseries, over twenty-eight episodes of two unscripted series, a feature-length documentary and several narrative shorts including award winning CROWN (2023) in partnership with Dove and The CROWN Act Coalition. Her work has been featured in PopSugar, Madam Noire, Blavity, and Bustle, and she was named a Sony Rising Storyteller Search semifinalist. Recognized by brands such as Essence and Dove for avant-garde storytelling and social impact, her work thrives at the intersection of social justice, wellness, and radical creative expression.
