His novels Reborn Rich (The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate) and New Employee, Chairman Kang have been adapted into television series. He did not major in literature; before becoming a writer, he spent approximately 15 years working in the export trade department of a large corporation. Writing numerous reports and official documents during his corporate career helped him develop a concise and fast-paced narrative style. He resigned in his mid-50s to become a full-time writer.
