Lisa Giles is a filmmaker whose work spans directing, producing, and writing. She has written, cast, produced, and directed television commercials, directed for the stage, and coached and managed on-camera talent, building a practical foundation in performance and visual storytelling.
In addition to her creative work, Giles is an arts leader with more than a decade of experience in film festival production and programming. In 2022, she launched the Richmond Film Network to connect, support and celebrate independent filmmakers and their work. Since 2017, she has served as City Producer for the Richmond 48 Hour Film Project, supporting hundreds of filmmakers each year as they create original short films within a timed competition. In 2015, she created Virginia’s high school state championship in film, reflecting her commitment to artist development at every stage, and the future of the medium.
