A victim of the Nepalese Civil War , Bikash lost everything during the decade-long insurgency—an experience that stripped him of his material world but gave him an unyielding commitment to human rights and democratic values. This personal tragedy transformed him into a "Philosophical Rebel," using cinema as a fortress for truth in a landscape often dominated by political silence.

For two decades, Bikash dominated the Nepalese film industry as its highest-paid and most sought-after screenwriter. However, he often felt a profound disconnect between the spiritual depth of his scripts and their final visual execution on screen. He realized that the domestic technical limitations were diluting the "Visual Soul" of his stories. Driven by this necessity, he transitioned to directing and embraced International Co-production as a non-negotiable standard. By collaborating with elite global talent like DP Artur Żurawski (Sultan, Mardaani) and world-class studios like Fixafilm (Poland) and YRF (Mumbai), Bikash is bridging the technical gap to ensure that his cinematic vision meets global aesthetic and sonic standards without losing its Himalayan essence.

Bikash’s creative authority comes from a unique 3-year spiritual and anthropological odyssey. Embracing the life of a "Modern Monk," he traversed the entire length of Nepal on a solo pilgrimage. He literally measured the nation with his own footsteps, living among marginalized and indigenous communities to understand the primal pulse of human existence. This journey serves as the anthropological backbone of his directorial debut, SHIRJARA (Song of Grandmother).
