Zakaria Maadidi (born May 15, 2009) is an Iraqi-Finnish filmmaker, director, actor, cinematographer, and film editor. An active filmmaker since 2025, Maadidi has been involved in film productions in an exceptionally versatile manner.
Maadidi works extensively across various aspects of cinema. Rather than focusing on just one role, he has a comprehensive mastery of the filmmaking process, from in front of the camera to behind it, all the way to the editing room. In his projects, he not only serves as a director and actor but also oversees the visual storytelling of his works as a cinematographer, and the rhythm and structure of the story as an editor. This multifaceted expertise makes him a strong, auteur-minded creator in the new generation of filmmaking.
