Biography
Li Wallis is an American-born filmmaker whose work fuses visual artistry with a distinctly global perspective. Raised in the American South, she began her career with a degree in journalism before moving to Europe as a fine-art oil painter. Her path soon expanded into humanitarian filmmaking and photography, documenting human-interest stories across Africa, South America, and Asia-work that earned her Special Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC and membership in the Clinton Global Initiative. Drawn to narrative storytelling, Wallis refined her craft through an ambitious year-long experiment, producing one short film per week. This discipline shaped a style defined by meticulous lighting, bold color palettes, and deliberate composition. Her debut feature, Flights of Reverie, is an atmospheric, character-driven mystery set in Berlin. Through her company, Midnight Odyssey Productions, she creates cinematic worlds that challenge convention and linger in the imagination long after the credits roll.
