Biography
Nataly Pérez Aguilar / Nataly Pag is a 33-year-old emerging Director and Artist who unravels stories from dark corners. She finds beauty in the grotesque and the taboos of her generation. Passionate about understanding and portraying the feminine and hidden universe through the eyes of a woman who sleepwalks through fantasies. Since 2015, Nataly has worked as an Assistant Director on commercials, series, and feature films with national and international directors in Mexico and Canada. In 2017, she co-founded Gloomy Tunnel with her partner Mónica Garza to continue creating independent/passion projects. In 2018, she moved to Vancouver to complete an intensive Program in directing at InFocus Film School. As a Director, she has directed several music videos for national and international bands and singer-songwriters such as Boca Paila, Carmen María, Elefangs, Jokai, Jeremy James, and Bluhé, Felipe Álvarez, to mention some. Her short films include In Nocens (2015), Orb of Night (2018), Whole to Somewhere (2018), and Violet Prevails (2021). Her work has been showcased in festivals such as Berlin International Art Film Festival, Lisbon Film Rendezvous, FicGayUNAM, and Festival Internacional de Cine de Xilitla. She is currently working on her next personal projects: Entre Hilos/Between Threads (short film) and Laima Belladona (Feature Film). Nataly continues to develop her career as a Film Director, recognized for her feminine, melancholic style with touches of magical realism.
