Biography
Apiruk Butyai or Bangkok Blued, also known as Jeng, grew up in Pattaya in 2003 and is now in his third year at Bangkok University, studying at the Rangsit Campus in School of Digital Media and Cinematic Arts. He has a passion for simple stories that carry deep meanings. He enjoys sharing these tales in a way that's both straightforward and thought-provoking. A lot of the films he’s written draw inspiration from his own life experiences, as he feels that telling his own stories makes them resonate more. He believes that when he truly understands his experiences, others will connect with his films on a deeper level. When inquired about his preferred genre of filmmaking, he consistently expresses a fondness for films that are both simple and profound. He appreciates narratives that are not overtly explicit, yet do not linger in the minds of the audience once the credits roll. He envisions the conclusion of a film as a moment of release, akin to leaving behind a cherished possession. He articulates that certain stories are meant to conclude at a specific point, embracing the idea that sometimes, it is essential to allow them to end there.
