Saad Dnewar was an Egyptian filmmaker and actor based in Berlin, Germany. A multidisciplinary artist, he worked across a wide range of mediums, from animation to live action. He gained his first international recognition with his short film My Brother, My Brother (2024), which was in development at the time. In the middle of the process Saad passed away at the young age of 29. Despite his early passing, his work continues to be celebrated. He continues to receive posthumous awards, and his legacy lives on through his script writings and three unfinished films currently being completed by his brothers either in production or post production phases.
