Biography
Johannes Mair has been working as a filmmaker in the field of mountain and climbing sports since 2008. During this time, he has worked with numerous top international athletes such as Jakob Schubert, Hansjörg Auer, Anna Stöhr, Kilian Fischhuber, Barbara Zangerl, Jacopo Larcher, Guido Unterwurzacher, Nadine Wallner, Beat Kammerlander, Nina Caprez, Albert Leichtfried and many more. His work focuses on authentic stories centered around life in the mountains and the individual approach of the athletes – a style for which several of his films have won awards. His cinematic repertoire ranges from elaborately produced TV broadcast in prime time to more to “nerdier” YouTube videos – such as for Jakob Schubert’s channel, which he has been helping to create for two years. With his company Alpsolut Pictures, Johannes Mair also produces image and promotional films for industrial companies, the Alpine Association and tourism partners.
