Manav Shah is an emerging writer and director from Ahmedabad, India. Upbringing in a household that highly valued cinematic experiences nurtured his passion for filmmaking. His thirst for knowledge and love for cinema led him to pursue a Mass Communication program at Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication.
During his studies, Manav honed his writing skills, demonstrating his talent by winning the university’s annual screenwriting competition for two consecutive years. Following this success, he secured an internship at a production house, where he contributed to the post-production of ‘Opium,’ a feature film that gained recognition at the prestigious 35th Tokyo International Film Festival. Additionally, Manav played a pivotal role in developing multiple web series pitches for prominent streaming platforms like Disney+ Hotstar and Netflix.
Driven by an unwavering commitment to refining his craft, Manav embarked on a transformative journey by enrolling in the Film Production Program at Vancouver Film School. Since then, he has created numerous short films, showcasing his unique style and storytelling abilities. Manav’s ultimate aspiration is to helm large-scale commercial feature films that encapsulate deeply personal narratives, authentically reflecting his distinctive voice and vision.
