Biography
Chris Mortensen is a Director, Actor and Editor. Chris is also the executive producer of his own independent film company CJM Films. CJM Films specializes in filming theater events, memorials, weddings and motion pictures. Chris grew up shy and found joy in watching movies and listening to music. At age of 11 Chris received his 1st video camera and started joining friends and making amateur movies. By high school and collage Chris broke out of his shy shell and found joy on stage and theater, which shocked his family. Chris studied film production, film history and theater at Asunutuck Community Collage in Enfield Connecticut and graduated in 2005. At Asnuntuck Community College he performed in productions such as "Lysistrata," "Into the Woods" and "Laramie Project." He was one of the founders and producers of one of Enfield Connecticut's theater groups "Live & In Person Productions" and directed "Rope" and starred in "Clue" and "The Lion in Winter." Chris' big passion was still movies, directing and in 2007 Chris sent in an audition movie "Faith Hope Love" for Fox's "On the Lot." Chris never heard the outcome of that production and understood the odds. Chris had a local classic horror hit movie "Heathen," in which he wrote and directed and teamed up with RJ Loubier of Apex Productions. With that love he was able to make a bigger follow up "Tragic." As Chris always believed team work and trust is so important. He then partnered with Bryon Kozaczka and formed "79/83 Productions "to help finish "Tragic." He loves movies, music, nature, beaches, art, writing, swimming, volleyball ball and playing board games with his family. When not doing art productions and collecting movies Chris continues to also work at Costco Wholesale and lives in Northern Connecticut with wife and two children.
