Daniell van Kanten is a filmmaker whose rich imagination and storytelling abilities make filmmaking feel second nature. Born in Miami, Daniell moved to the Netherlands at age 10, but his love for cinema blossomed during summers back in the U.S. with his father, where they often visited Blockbuster, exploring a vast range of films. These early experiences introduced him to the wide worlds of cinema—from ‘90s cult classics like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the socially conscious thrillers of Jordan Peele—and continue to inspire his work.
