Biography
Khalid Al Jefri was born in 2003 and raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His involvement in filmmaking began in 2015 during middle school, where he created his first film, this initial work earned him first place among middle schools in Jeddah during the "Refg" contest, organized by the Ministry of Education. In 2020, Khalid shifted his focus to editing and Visual Effects (VFX). He established an online presence using the Instagram username "u6h" to share his work in video editing and VFX. Currently, Khalid is directing, combining his VFX experience with his filmmaking projects. This approach resulted in his first official short film, "The Monkey Conflict" for which he served as the director, VFX artist, and editor. As a VFX artist, his contributions have been featured regionally, including work on a film screened at the Saudi Film Festival's 2024 edition and two films showcased at the Red Sea International Film Festival's 2025 edition. In late 2024, Khalid received a filmmaking scholarship from MBC Academy and the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Italy, this program provided him with training in professional film directing and actor management, which he applied while directing his short film "The Reddiest 2006."
