Margareth Buendia is a Filipino writer and emerging filmmaker. She has been writing novels and short stories since 2017 and transitioned into filmmaking in college. Her debut short film, Sa Pag-uwi, which she directed, wrote, and produced, received multiple recognitions at PUP FilAC’s Sineminuto 2024, including 3rd Best Picture and Best in Cinematography, and later won Best Film at the Manila Student Film Festival 2025. She recently completed her second short film, Kapre sa Maynila, which was screened at the TobaccOFFNow Film Festival, in partnership with the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival.
