Biography
Isaac Hirotsu Woofter is a NYC filmmaker. He wrote the screenplay for Steven Seagal’s action movie, THE BUSHIDO BUTCHER, for Shadow Box Pictures and Aldamisa Entertainment. His films/screenplays have won or placed 20 times in 16 festivals including: The Austin Film Festival, Dances with Films, Breckenridge Film Festival, Page International Awards, Richmond International Film Festival, Screencraft, Scriptapalooza, JumpStart, Creative World Awards, The Script Lab, Filmmatic Screenplay Awards, Scriptation Showcase, IFIPG, and The World Series of Screenwriting. As a director, Isaac’s written, produced, and directed multiple book trailers for New York Times Best Selling Authors. His film BOUND is currently running the festival circuit and has distribution lined up for a Fall/Winter release. As an actor, Isaac spent the last 27 years performing in TV, films & commercials, and in regional theater and festivals all over the world. He has played numerous lead and title roles, including Joey in the Tony award-winning Broadway show WARHORSE. In 2008 he was nominated for a Falstaff Award alongside Patrick Stewaret for Best Supporting Actor in a Shakespeare Play. Isaac received his MFA from Columbia University and studies at the Jacob Krueger Studio.
