Ian Axton is a member of the Senior Leadership Team at ITV plc. He's currently responsible for Production Operations & Technical Management across the ITV nations and regions.
Ian’s career has spanned senior roles in both television and commercial radio, both off-air and on. He was CEO of the commercial radio group 'The Local Radio Company' which built a portfolio of stations across Southern England. He also founded his own media company which owned commercial radio stations in Hampshire and Berkshire. Ian led the business to a successful disposal to the Celador Group.
On-air at ITV, Ian anchored a 6pm regional news programme for seven years before moving back into senior management as Head of News. After a secondment to an operational delivery role in a £33 investment project for ITV News, Ian was promoted to his current position as Head of Production Operations & Technical Management.
