Ali Zolghadriha is a filmmaker based in Frankfurt am Main. He studied theater, film, and media studies at Goethe University Frankfurt, with minors in cultural anthropology and European ethnology, as well as film culture: archiving, programming, and presentation; he previously earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture in Iran.
In his work, he explores the convergence of different worlds, moving between horror and fantasy. His screenplays stem from an interest in intercultural experiences and the subtle dynamics between humans and non-humans.
His short films have been screened at the Lichter Filmfest, among other venues. He has also been involved in the organization and execution of film and theater festivals, including the goEast Film Festival.
