Biography
Mishuk Moni is a Bangladeshi filmmaker, producer, and screenwriter. Educated in film studies in Canada, he began his career with television commercials (TVCs) and television films before moving into cinema. He is also the founder of the production house Chobir Haat, which focuses on producing feature films. His work blends artistic sensibility with commercial appeal, often exploring the subtleties of human relationships through realism, mood, and visual detail. His debut feature, Deyaler Desh (2024), established him as one of Bangladesh's most discussed emerging directors, earning critical praise and wide audience attention at home and abroad. In recognition of his debut, he received the Best Director (Critics' Choice) award at the Bangladesh Excellence Awards 2024. Mishuk has expressed a desire to tell stories that resonate universally while challenging stereotypes around government-funded films. His upcoming projects, including a planned romance trilogy, reflect his commitment to thoughtful and sincere storytelling at the intersection of intimacy, society, and cinematic craft.
