Nova experienced a challenging early life, moving frequently due to various circumstances, including an apartment explosion caused by a meth lab in her childhood home. She spent her formative years in downtown Los Angeles, primarily in the Compton area, before relocating to Canada when she was 12 years old. She graduated from high school at 16 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Honors English Literature and Professional Writing, with a minor in Business Marketing, by the age of 18.
