Morgan Ellis Mackerness (born 8 September 2002) is a non-binary filmmaker and videographer based in Manchester, United Kingdom. Their love and passion for filmmaking began when they studied Creative Media Production in college, and then went onto to achieve a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production at University. During their time at University, they explored and participated in many different production roles in student short-film projects. Such as directing, producing, cinematography, and sound design.
Their versatility and skill in many different areas of filmmaking helped them to refine their artistic voice in creating honest, authentic, and engaging short-film projects that has successfully premiered at film festivals. While their films have explored a wide range of different genres, their key focus is directing surrealist and abstract films that speak on the human condition in a deeply psychological way.
