Biography
Lecturer at the National University of Theater and Cinematography "I. L. Caragiale", qualified in film studies at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and researcher in philosophy at the Alexandru Dragomir Institute of Philosophy. His research interests concern the philosophy of environments, classical German phenomenology, critical theory, philosophy of history and image theories . He coordinated together with Julian Hanich the volume Studia Phaenomenologica XVI: Film and Phenomenology (2016). Most recently published volumes: Film as a social situation. Phenomenological essays (Cluj-Napoca, 2018), Sehen Als-ob. Ästhetik und Pragmatik in Husserls Bildlehre (Nordhausen, 2016) and Phenomenological Forays into the New Romanian Film (Cluj-Napoca, 2015). He has coordinated multiple research grants and published numerous studies in international journals of philosophy and film theory. He translated into Romanian some fundamental works by Husserl, Heidegger, Benjamin, Kracauer and Adorno.
