Biography
Everett Blunck is a Montana-born actor who was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actor in his mid-teens and landed his first feature role in an uncredited role in the western, Murder at Yellowstone City (2022), co-starring Gabriel Byrne, Thomas Jane, Isaiah Mustafa, Anna Camp, Nat Wolff, and Richard Dreyfuss under Richard Gray’s direction. Blunck’s first big-screen credit was in the supporting cast of director/producer Brett Donowho’s western, The Old Way (2023), starring Nicolas Cage, with Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Noah Le Gros, Clint Howard, Nick Searcy, and Shiloh Fernandez, and which was released by Saban Films. Blunck was cast in a supporting role in director/co-writer Rod Blackhurst’s indie drama, Blood for Dust (2023), starring Scoot McNairy, Josh Lucas, Kit Harington, Stephen Dorff and Ethan Suplee, and which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival before its theatrical release by The Avenue. Blunck was cast in director/writer/producer/star Mario Van Peebles’ western, Outlaw Posse (2024), starring William Mapother, John Carroll Lynch, D.C. Young Fly, Mandela Van Peebles, Amber Reign Smith, Neil McDonough, Edward James Olmos, Cedric the Entertainer, M. Emmet Walsh, and Whoopi Goldberg, and released by Quiver Distribution. Everett Blunck received considerable critical praise for his first starring—and first title—role in director/writer Nicholas Colia’s coming-of-age comedy drama, Griffin in Summer (2024), with Owen Teague, Abby Ryder, Fortson, Kathryn Newton and Melanie Lynskey, launching at the Tribeca Film Festival (where it won Best U.S. Narrative Feature, Best Screenplay and a Best Director Special Mention) and released by Vertical. Blunck appeared in the cast of director/writer Joel Souza’s western, Rust (2024), starring Alec Baldwin (who also co-wrote the story and produced), with Josh Hopkins, Patrick Scott McDermott, Frances Fisher and Travis Fimmel, but failed at the box office (care of Falling Forward Films) due to the widely reported accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the movie’s set. Blunck had his second starring role in director/writer Charlie Polinger’s acclaimed psychological drama, The Plague (2025), with Kayo Martin, Kenny Rasmussen, and Joel Edgerton (who also produced), premiering in competition at the Cannes Film Festival’s Un Certain Regard program, and was released wide by Independent Film Company.
