Biography
A prominent Iraqi artist, born in Baghdad in 1942, began his cinematic career as a lead actor in modest films such as "Al-Nahr" (The River), "Wafat Al-Sahara" (Desert Boy), and "Sadaa Thikrayat" (Echo of Memories). He collaborated with artists Sami Qaftan and Salma Abdul Hadi Mohammed Hammam in acting in those rare films. Adnan Al-Imam was one of the most notable photographers in the sixties of the last century. He played the lead role in the film "Yad Al-Qadr" (Fate's Hand) alongside artists Sami Qaftan, Salma Abdul Hadi, and Wadad Ramzi. The screenplay and direction were by artist Kamel Al-Abdali, who also played the lead role, and he directed the film "Al-Shadrah Al-Badawiyah" (The Bedouin Sparkle), written by Burhan Al-Din Jasim, starring Sami Qaftan, Qasim Al-Malak, Samar Mohammed, Qaid Al-Nuaimi, and Wadad Shouqi. He also supervised the composition of many of the musical works of artist Sami Qaftan, which he performed on the radio. He also held the position of head of the photography department in the Ministry of Youth. The artist passed away on 15/11/2005.
