Biography
Gioele Rotini is an italian actor, born in Rome on 14th February 1986. His father Roberto was a mechanic, while his mother Rosalba was an italian teacher. He has an older sister, Alice. He's been attending acting classes every year since primary school and he also took piano lessons during the middle school. He's fond of poetry writing and rap lyrics composing. He attended the Classical High School where he graduated in 2005. He quit university to pursuit more challenging acting studies, while working as a waiter, barman and museum keeper to earn his living. He debuted as a professional actor in 2009 with the cult theatrical show "Le Belle Notti" directed by Claudio Boccaccini. After that production he worked seamlessly mainly on stage, in several plays of W. Shakespeare, B. Brecht, A. Checov, W. Allen, L. Pirandello, C. Goldoni, and also of contemporary author, like Gianni Clementi, Antonio Grosso, Riccardo Barbera and Rosalinda Conti. On screen he starred in a docu-fiction for RAI in 2012, in 2018 he starred in Paolo Virzì's "Notti Magiche". In December 2021 he also acted in Steve Zaillian's "Talented Mr. Ripley" with Andrew Scott. In 2021 he was casted in the tv series "Prisma" directed by Ludovico Bessegato, produced by Amazon Studios and Cross Productions. After this experience, he has been on stage with seven different plays, directed by Leonardo Buttaroni, Matteo Ziglio, Barbara Chiesa and next season he will start a new national tour with "Una Compagnia di Pazzi" directed by Nicola Pistoia.
