Vignesh Selvakumar who goes by the screen name 'Aran V' worked as an assistant director to Shankar in the magnus opus 2.0 (2018). He later went on to direct some short films and music videos starring himself. He made his feature length directional and acting debut in the film Jigiri Dosthu (2023)
