Kim Jomson was born in Kaesong in 1946 and graduated from Ewha Womans University, Department of Audiovisual Education, and studied Western painting at Hongik University. In the summer after graduating from graduate school, she made her debut at the 1st Salon des Indépendants, where her work was selected for the Paris Biennale under the jury of Nam June Paik and Lee Ufan.
