Barbara Kate is a writer and producer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently majoring in film at Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA), Barbara focuses on developing stories that blend intimate character studies with cinematic expression. As a writer, her work includes the published book I, Writer and the screenplay A Lady’s Beaded Bag (2024), an adaptation of a short piece by Tennessee Williams. She also co-wrote Missing Scene (2024) and contributed as a script doctor on The Figure (2025). As a producer, her credits include The Culminating Point (2025), Missing Scene (2024), and the forthcoming ek • stasis. She is a co-founder of Medio Cuerpo Cine, a student-based independent film production company in Buenos Aires, which aims to foster a collaborative space for emerging filmmakers.
