Landsberg studied in the field of media arts at the University of Cologne before starting his Masters in theatre and film studies at the University of Vienna. Along the way, he began working as a video artist for theatre plays. For his stage-work he elaborated new concepts and connections between film and theatre art. His work led him to theatres in Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Vienna. Most recently, he filmed the six-part web series "Edward II - I am Love" together with director Pınar Karabulut for Schauspiel Köln's digital streaming service, which premiered in 2021.
The work on "Roots" started in 2019. This project was his first narrative short film as writer and director.
