Born on May 16, 1994, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, she became involved in the entertainment industry from a young age, working in themed cafés such as Maid Witch in Saitama and in Akihabara venues like Dear Stage and St. Grace Court.
In October 2009 she began her career as an idol and voice actress under the agency EBA Production, using the stage name Rio Yukino (雪乃 りお). On May 16, 2010, she made her singing debut at CLUB SEATA in Kichijōji, performing the original song "Hey Boy" together with her agency mate Yuria Yumesaki (夢咲 ゆりあ), forming the duo Animetic Placebo. She also took part in the unit Sister Drop. Her activities expanded to radio, television and internet.
