Biography
Ruut Ahonen, a 25-year-old actor from Finland, is based in Helsinki. She is fluent in English and speaks Finnish as her native language. In October 2022, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Screen Acting from Catalyst Institute For Creative Arts and Technology Berlin. Recently, she starred in the short film "Goodbye, Tomorrow," directed by Przemek Wegrzyn. Ruut also wrote and directed her own solo short film called "The Tale of Vasalisa," where she portrayed all three characters. Her outstanding performance in this film earned her the Best Lead Performance award at the Catalyst Film Awards 2022. Additionally, she appeared as a supporting actor in the music video "Time in Berlin - Third Eye Blind," which was selected for the official Tribeca 2022 selection. Prior to her studies at Catalyst, Ruut received training in theatre from the age of 12, including improv and performances in classical plays such as Anton Chekov's "The Seagull" and Minna Canth's "The Workman's Wife." She also has a background in acrobatics, trapeze, silks, show dance, jazz, and hip-hop, having trained in Circus Helsinki and other disciplines.
