Gabriel is a film director, producer, and writer based in Eora (Sydney).
A graduate of the Masters in Documentary Filmmaking at the AFTRS, he directed ENEMY ALIEN; a short about Australia’s WWII-era Concentration Camps, premiering domestically at Antenna Festival, and internationally at DOC NYC. Gabriel won the ADG Award for Best Direction in a Student Film in December 2023.
Gabriel is in post-production on his next documentary, COUNCILLOR, about a strange city council election in Australia’s strangest city; the Gold Coast. The film is slated for completion in late 2024. Gabriel is also in development on his feature debut MACHINE ZONE; which was workshopped in UnionDoc’s prestigious 2024 Summer Development Lab in New York City.
Gabriel is overseeing a slate of several documentaries made across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Japan.
