Biography
Derek Powers was an American gay pornographic director, photographer, actor, and standup comedian. Powers was born in Vietnam but later adopted by a family from San Francisco. Powers worked as a stage actor where he worked in stage plays' The Immigrant's Tale, L.A. River, Nightmare in the Dream Factory, and his one-person show Goodnight Vietnam. Powers had also starred in popular television shows Married... with Children, Beauty and the Beast, General Hospital, and E.R. On May 19th, 1996, Powers was murdered in this Hollywood, California home due to blunt force trauma to the head. There is still skepticism surrounding Powers' murder. According to rumors, Powers was killed by two of his male models, who tied him to a chair and struck him over the head with a claw hammer, while a second source says it was a domestic violence case involving Powers' roommate.
