Biography
Keelan is a filmmaker who specializes in directing, producing, and editing humanist documentaries. His films have garnered acclaim worldwide, screening at prestigious festivals and institutions including, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), Centre Pompidou in Málaga, and the Headlands Center for the Arts. Williams' directing focuses on the intersection of art, identity, and place – celebrating the creative spirit of communities building cultural legacies against the odds. He has made branded documentaries for Google, Home Depot, Pearl Jam, and more. His debut feature Tell Them We Were Here, about the Bay Area art scene, won Best Documentary Feature at Nevada City Film Festival and earned the SF Chronicle's highest rating. His newest film, Paving The Way, follows Indigenous skateboarders on Montana's Flathead Indian Reservation featuring original music by Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament, and premiered at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in 2026.
