Born in Barcelona in 1997, Rubio quickly fell in love with cinema at the young age of three in a busy local theater, during a screening of Spirited Away. In 2015 he started the ESCAC university degree, from which he graduated with a mention in Direction in 2019.
In 2021 he co-directed his first film, Ovella, as part of the final degree project, which received a great reception during its tour of festivals, taking home a Special Jury Mention at the D'A festival.
He is currently working on two short films.
