Biography
Aristoula Ellinoudis, actress, theater critic and journalist for the newspaper Rizospastis. Ellinoudis was born in 1945, she was the daughter of Giorgis Ellinoudis, a member of the KKE since the 1920s, who during the occupation was responsible for the EAM Printing House. From the age of 14 she began contacts with the Lambrakides Club. After high school she entered the National Theater School with a scholarship and when she graduated she entered the theater. With the change of government, she immediately came into contact with the Communist Party of Greece and became a member in 1974. She took active action to set up the first organizations of scientists and artists and from 1975 she began her collaboration with the newspaper "Rizospastis" (under the pseudonym "Thymeli"), which she joined in 1976. Aristoula Ellinoudis developed a rich artistic activity as an actress and as a theater critic. She met and married the actor Timos Perlegkas, with whom she had a son, the actor and director Yannos Perlegkas. She passed away today, at the age of 72, after a few months of battle with cancer.
