Lauren Jevnikar (they/them) is an award-winning internationally screened director and film editor based in NYC. Lauren is interested in exploring intimacy, vulnerability, and relationship dynamics. Their newest project, proof of concept short “Half-Light”, has screened at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts 2023 and won a Special Achievement Award for “BEST DIRECTING” at its Premiere at NFFTY 2023, amongst other festivals.
They’ve worked as an Experimental Jury Member for NFFTY in 2024 and a Jury Member for the 2023 Orange Reels Film Festival.
Holding a BFA in Film from Syracuse University, they have additionally studied at FAMU International in Prague, CZ.
