Lisa-Kaindé Diaz is a French musician and multi instrumentalist who along with her twin sister Naomi Díaz comprise the duo Ibeyi.
The duo sings in English, French, Spanish and Yoruba, In Yoruba, Ibeyi (Ìbejì) means "twins" Yoruba is a Nigerian language spoken in West Africa by their ancestors before being taken to Cuba as slaves in the 1700s.
