Biography
Brenda Howard is a seasoned performer & has been a practicing theatre and film artist for the past 10 years. A native of Oakland, she has graced the stages of the west coast in countless productions from Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun to Shange's For Colored Girls. She received her degree in 2009 in Motion Pictures and Television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and continues to train in both LA and Atlanta with master teachers Dwayne Boyd, GregAlan Williams and Tasha Smith. She can be seen in national commercial spots including the Toyota "Let's Go Places" campaign, among other notable credits as both an actor and print and commercial model. Currently based out of Atlanta, she continues to work in film and network television both in the southeast and LA. In between the stage and screen, Brenda can be found dedicating her time to Starving Artistry, an organization founded by local artists that provides meals and services for those in need.
