Biography
Lyn Liechty grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. She left her life of public high school at the age of 16 to attend the Interlochen Arts Academy, where she graduated with majors in Voice & Theater. She then attended a University in St. Louis, MO where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theater. Lyn immediately moved to New York City right after graduation to begin the daunting and difficult task of auditioning for shows. While auditioning at Radio City Musical Hall, she landed the role of Ellen in the German Production of “Miss Saigon” and moved to Germany to begin the next phase of her life. Lyn’s career took off while in Europe, and she found herself accepting leading roles in World Premiere and European Premiere shows including “Tanz Der Vampire,” with Jim Steinman and Roman Polanski, “Dracula,” (Original concept production with Frank Wildhorn) and “Jekyll & Hyde.” While gaining notoriety on stage, Lyn also stepped into the pop/rock world, where she recorded duets including “L’Eternita” (with Italian singer Pierro Mozzochetti) and “Here In My Heart” (with the world renown The Scorpions.) Lyn also hit the stage with Lionel Richie, as well as whirlwind of television appearances across Europe including Top Of The Pops, The Bambi Awards, the opening ceremonies of the Expo 2000, and many more. Lyn has recorded many albums along the way, in addition to her cast albums. Lyn has recorded solo albums, including the theatrical rock album “At Last,” and her lush and emotional Christmas album “The Love Of Christmas” (Orchestrated and arranged by Emmy Award winner Lendell Black. Lyn’s latest project is the powerhouse recording of “More Than Wonderful,” with Lyn’s long time friend, David Whitley. The incredible passion and emotionality that this recording stirs from the combination of these two voices together, is only amplified by the brilliant arrangements, beautiful orchestration and the added touch of a Dolby ATMOS mix.
