Born on December 26, 1926, in the village of Yeltsovka, Altai Krai, Savinova demonstrated her talent for acting early in life. She graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in 1951, studying under the guidance of prominent Soviet filmmakers.
