Biography
HeyMoritz—born Moritz Schirdewahn on June 6, 2002, in Regensburg—is a German YouTuber and web video producer who primarily publishes vlogs on YouTube and streams on Twitch. HeyMoritz grew up in Rheine and launched his own YouTube channel at the age of nine. Initially, he published videos about Nintendo 3DS games, and later focused mainly on gaming content centered around Minecraft. Starting in 2017, he gained particular prominence through his "DailyVlogs"—videos that he filmed, edited, and published on a daily basis. For a time, he ran the channel "TheDoubleLOL’s" together with friends; however, he largely ceased his activity there due to personal issues and depression. With his subsequent DailyVlogs, he reached a large audience and—with several hundred episodes to his name—established himself as one of the most well-known daily vloggers in the German YouTube scene. In 2018, HeyMoritz released a parody of the song "Dicke Lippen" by Katja Krasavice, which garnered millions of views on YouTube. Additionally, starting in 2018, he appeared in the youth series *Spotlight* and, in 2019, acted in the film *Misfit*. Together with Julia Beautx, he also hosted a DIY YouTube channel commissioned by OBI. In late 2020, he was also part of the web series *Das Internat*. Beyond YouTube, HeyMoritz has released several music videos and, in 2022—in collaboration with Kaufland—launched his own brand of chewing gum.
