Matthew James Ashman was an influential English musician best known as the guitarist for the iconic 1980s new wave bands Adam and the Ants and Bow Wow Wow. While primarily a guitarist, he also served as a singer and songwriter, leading his own group, Chiefs of Relief, later in his career.
