Biography
Tom Schraeder is a composer and singer-songwriter, celebrated for bold, atmospheric scores that blur the line between beauty and dread. He latest score for Vicious, the upcoming Paramount Pictures/Atlas Independent feature from Bryan Bertino (The Strangers), starring Dakota Fanning and set for release October 10. The soundtrack, arriving in 2025 via Lakeshore Records, features Stan Harrison (Radiohead, David Bowie) and Clive Deamer (Portishead, Radiohead). Schraeder also co-composed and executive produced Saban Films We're Not Safe Here (2025). His breakthrough came with the chilling score for The Dark and The Wicked, which included collaborations with Nels Cline (Wilco) and Mars Williams (Psychedelic Furs). His work has been praised by The New York Times, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter, earning a Hollywood Music in Media Award nomination and consecutive Fangoria Chainsaw Award nods for "Best Score."
