Jesse Dampolo is a director and editor from Stoneham, Massachusetts, specializing in music videos and independent film. A 2012 graduate of Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging Arts, he crafts music videos that channel the aggressive energy of the artists he collaborates with, including Mouthbreather and Mother Iron Horse. In contrast, his films are more contemplative and character-driven, emphasizing authentic storytelling.
Jesse values collaboration above all else—both on set and in the editing room—whether working with bands to visualize their music or shaping the films of frequent collaborator and Shoot The J Productions co-founder, Jesse Cook III (LOOM, PEPPERMINT, NEAPOLITAN).
As a writer, director, and editor, Jesse’s own films have premiered at the Miami Independent Film Festival, Filmstrip International Film Festival, and Los Angeles CineFest, where his short film IN THE NOW was a semi-finalist for Best Narrative Short Film.
