Biography
Christopher Convery has established himself as a sought-after young talent across film and television. Most recently, Convery starred opposite Alexandra Daddario in the upcoming drama AMERICAN FEVER DREAM, written and directed by Jaclyn Noel. Spanning nearly two decades, the film follows a hopeful middle-class family as they gradually descend into poverty and the promise of the American Dream begins to unravel. Convery plays “James,” the son of Daddario’s character, Carrie. Next up, Convery will star in the true-story sports drama 21 DOWN opposite Ashley Judd and Dylan Walsh. Directed by Sean McNamara, the film tells the inspiring true story of Caden Cox, who made history as the first person with Down syndrome to play and score in a college football game. Convery plays “Zane,” Caden’s older brother. Convery will then star as “Tommy” in the upcoming horror feature THE HIM, written and directed by Joe Gossett. Set on Halloween night in 1995, the film follows a family’s elaborate haunted-house display that becomes the scene of a real massacre when a killer begins hunting its guests while the crowds outside believe the violence is all part of the show. The film also stars Ryan Phillippe, Chris Elliott, and Mindy Cohn. Convery previously starred opposite Brian Cox and Kate Beckinsale in PRISONER’S DAUGHTER, directed by Catherine Hardwicke. His performance earned him recognition as Best Breakout Male Actor during the Toronto International Film Festival. He also appeared opposite Mike Faist and Crystal Reed in PINBALL: THE MAN WHO SAVED THE GAME. His additional film credits include Fede Álvarez’s THE GIRL IN THE SPIDER’S WEB opposite Claire Foy and William Brent Bell’s BRAHMS: THE BOY II, in which he starred opposite Katie Holmes. On television, Convery starred opposite Julie Delpy as her son “Albert” in the Netflix series ON THE VERGE. He is also known for portraying “Young Billy” in Netflix’s global phenomenon STRANGER THINGS. His additional television credits include HBO’s SUCCESSION, GOTHAM, MACGYVER, CHICAGO MED, THE BLACKLIST: REDEMPTION, and HATERS BACK OFF! Convery began acting professionally at seven years old when he was cast as “Young Charlie” in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical KINKY BOOTS, starring opposite Billy Porter. He moved to New York City for the production and spent five years there while attending the Professional Performing Arts School. Convery is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency and Untitled Entertainment.
