Biography
Xin Ge (1917-2000) participated in the China Travel Troupe in Peiping and performed plays such as "Thunderstorm" and "The Wilderness". In 1938, he participated in the Chinese Art Troupe in Hong Kong and played a role in the film "Island Paradise". In 1939, he played a role in "King Qin King" filmed by Shanghai Yihua Film Company, and "Confucius" filmed by Minhua Film Company, and starred in the drama "Mrs. Ideal" in La Fei Theatre Company. After the outbreak of the Pacific War, he joined the New Fourth Army and served as director of theater in a division and one brigade service group. In 1943, he served as the head of the Experimental Theatre Troupe of Traveling Self-study University, creating the single-play show "Father and Son". In 1945 he served as the captain of the four columns of the Jiangsu and Zhejiang Military Region. During the Liberation War, he served as the deputy regiment of the Third Field Army's 1st Literary and Cultural Regiment and the 20th Army's Cultural Regiment. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was the deputy director and director of Shanghai Film Studio and the deputy director of Tianma Film Studio.
